Our Story at Skybil
Skybil didn't begin as a big company. It began as a frustration we could no longer ignore.
Back in April 2025, we looked at Nigeria and saw the same painful pattern: no jobs, poor academic system, students surviving on 001, graduates earning ₦30,000 to ₦50,000, parents drowning in loans, and skilled youths scraping hundreds of websites with no reply.
We asked ourselves a question nobody had answered: "Why should surviving in Nigeria be this hard?"
That frustration became a dream, led by three young founders known as ZAC NATION, who have always chased the impossible.
The Moment Everything Changed
Then came the moment everything changed. One of the cofounders asked 18 young Nigerians: "After spending 5 years in school and over ₦1,000,000… what next?"
They went silent for 10 full minutes. No answer. No plan. No future. That silence gave birth to Skybil.
And that is just the beginning. After the long silence, something unexpected happened.
Every one of those 18 students finally spoke, and their answers were all the same:
"I don't know."
"I'm not sure."
"I don't really have a plan yet."
"Until then…"
That moment hit the cofounder deeply.
The Real Problem
So he asked them again: "What makes you different from the thousands of graduates out there who are currently jobless?"
No one could answer.
Then the truth became clear: The problem was never the people. The problem was the system they were in.
Because Nigerians are not lazy. Nigerians are hungry to grow. Nigerians are willing to learn, and they are willing to succeed, but the system is not designed to let them win.
Look at the United States. When a student finishes college, the school automatically tries to place them in internships at companies like Tesla, Google, and Amazon. Their career starts immediately.
But in Nigeria? You finish school, and the only thing waiting for many people is uncertainty.
That was the moment the cofounders realized something important: There was a real validation for the solution we had, Skybil. And we had to build it.
The Journey Begins
But it did not come easily.
Skybil launched with a 500-person waitlist, focused on university students. FUTA became our first market.
We ran campaign after campaign and hit 500 users in no time.
And that was when reality struck: There is a big difference between having an idea and building a real solution.
The cofounders fought through strategy changes, failures, frustrations, and doubts, but they did not stop.
Because Skybil was never just a platform. Skybil became the first EdTech Nation in the digital world — a system built to give Nigerians their future back.
Our Mission and Vision
Our mission is simple: "The future of everyone is our mission."
Meaning: Every day, we wake up to build the future of each Nigerian who does not know what is next, just like those 18 students on that day.
Today, from that same FUTA, Skybil has enrolled almost 2,000 students out of our 10,000 student goal.
In the last three months alone, we've trained over 10 percent, and many are now preparing for real job placements.
And we are just getting started.
Our vision is bigger, harder, and almost impossible, but we are committed to creating an education and opportunity system that works for every Nigerian, every African, and eventually the world.
